We are currently looking for Accounting Staff to be a part of a new growing company in the construction industry.

Job Description:

Organize and file documents of the Accounting Department. Handle documents properly and file in an orderly manner and observe and follow proper housekeeping in the office and personal workspace.

Prepare accounting entries or journal entries for every financial transactions of the company. This includes payroll registries, government mandatories (SS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, etc.), and withholding tax of employees.

Monitor and request bank statements and passbooks from the company’s partner banks. This includes going to the bank to transact and pick-up check vouchers and other bank documents if deemed necessary.

Prepare payments for every transactions. This includes preparation of check payments, bank transfers, and cash deliveries.

Perform clerical duties and functions as needed such as; answering and making phone calls, taking and distributing messages, organizing and scheduling of appointments, handling inquiries, and incoming work requests.

Assist Purchasing Department for the preparation of payment for their suppliers and vendors.

Release payment for the company’s suppliers and vendors. This includes check payment, fund transfers, over-the-counter bank deposits and payment transaction, and cash delivery agencies.

Coordinate with Logistics Officer to consolidate their petty cash transactions and other expenses. This includes coordinating immediate superior and endorse problems encountered in every tasks.

Perform assigned duties and delegated tasks from the immediate superiors.

Observe proper phone etiquette and social norms when dealing with the suppliers and vendors and maintain positive attitude and courtesy at all times and even in pressure.

Qualifications:

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate with Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Managerial Accounting, or any other Accounting-related programs.
  • Basic computer operations and MS Office tools utilization. This involves internet skills, research skills, and communication and collaboration tools, and specialized software tools in Accounting.
  • Financial literate in terms of budgeting, cash flow management, and investments.
  • Knowledgeable in financial statements and accounting reports for the purpose of planning, controlling, budgeting and decision-making.
  • National certification like CPA, Bookkeeping, etc., is an advantage but not required.

Core Skills

  • Clerical skill (Scheduling, encoding, filing and organizing)
  • Time and task management skill
  • Proficient in MS Office tools
  • Proficient in Accounting Software

Attendance and Punctuality – excellent attendance record and all-around punctuality in delivering results and finishing tasks.

Knowledge of Tasks – knowledge in the tasks the employee has and their broad understanding to their job and in their field of practice.

Quality of Performance – the quality of every accomplishments and tasks done by the employees, free from marginal errors and corrective methods for found errors.

Initiative and Creativity – the measurement of an employee’s initiatives that contributes to the performance of the organization as a whole and the creativity to innovate existing system of a task to have a quick results.
