WP/DHS Division of Health Systems and Services

The WP/DHS Division of Health Systems and Services in the Philippines is a dynamic and innovative unit that is part of the larger Philippine Department of Health. This division is engaged in the development of health systems and services so that members of the community are provided with high quality health care and health related support. The Division consists of a number of teams, including the Health Services Planning and Management Unit and the Health Quality and Systems Improvement Unit. The goals of these teams include the development of health systems that enable Filipinos to access health care access, the reduction of the financial barriers associated with health care, and the development of innovative and sustainable health systems. These teams are active in designing and implementing health care strategies that can improve the quality of care provided and ensure that people living in the Philippines have access to safe and effective health care. Additionally, the WP/DHS Division of Health Systems and Services is actively involved in improving the public’s understanding of health and health related topics through various educational and advocacy activities. These initiatives seek to empower people to make informed decisions about their health and to promote a culture of health in the Philippines.
