JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Associate performs a variety of accounting tasks including but not limited to preparing journal entries, processing of accounts payable, processing of payment vouchers, reconciling various financial statement accounts, preparing work papers for internal and external reports based on financial results. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      GENERAL LEDGER

1.    Checking and Recording of daily cash receipts transaction from Cashier.

2.    Coordinates with Finance & Treasury Department to inquire any deposits and disbursements noted as reconciling items in the bank reconciliation.

3.    Maintains files of bank statements, schedule of bank reconciliation with approved adjusting entries, and debit/credit memos.

4.    Prepares month-end closing entries for the ff:

·      Sales Cancellation Entry

·      Sales and COS entry

·      Accrual of GP rate to tally with BP rate

·      Entry of provision for income tax

·      Deposit in Transit (Reversal)

·      Outstanding Checks (Reversal & set-up)

·      Accrual of Audit Fees

·      Accrual of Interest Expense and Interest Income

·      Posting of Depreciation expense

·      Recognition of Share in Corporate Overhead

·      Amortization of Prepayments (management fee, subscription & rental)

·      Proposes any necessary adjusting entries noted during the reconciliation process

5.    Review and check Buyer’s Masterfile (Reconciliation of AR: General vs Subsidiary Ledger).

6.    Review and check Bank Reconciliation of Cash bank accounts.

7.    Performs review and reconciliation of various subsidiary ledgers, special ledgers and general ledgers.

8.    Generate and review financial statements schedules (as assigned).

9.    Submit financial statements to PAAPDC

10.  Lead the preparation for the Audit of Financial Statement

11. Responsible for the Archiving of All GL journal entries

·      Accounts Payable

1.    Handles the following processing:

·       commissions payables

·       contractors’ payables

·       suppliers’ payables

·       various requests for payment from the different departments

2.    Encode, set-up new Contractors, Supplier, Brokers and Agents in NOAH.

3.    Processes weekly commissions of brokers and agents.

4.    Receives and checks the suppliers’ Purchase Orders (PO) with attached Sales Invoice, Delivery Receipt and Purchase Requisitions (PR) from purchasing department for the preparation of Accounts Payable Voucher.

5.    Logs and forwards all approved Accounts Payable Vouchers (APV) to Finance & Treasury Department.

6.    Create correcting or adjusting entries on wrong APV entry made.

7.    Update and Maintain Contractors Monitoring for Housing Construction and Land Development.

8.    Monitors, records, files and handles safekeeping of all Accounts Payable vouchers and Cash Disbursement vouchers from Finance & Treasury Department.

9.    Provide scan copy of all the processed APV for the Contractors and send summary to the Accounting and Finance Manager.

10. Prepares the following:

·      Expanded withholding taxes for contractors, suppliers and agents

·      Summary of findings on commissions

·      Weekly summary of commissions with the corresponding breakdown

·      Reports

1.    Monthly Update of Cost Monitoring Report

2.    Prepares P&L and Cash Flow Forecast

3.    Prepares financial statements for bank loans

4.    Prepares activity calendar and monitor compliance

5.    Prepares Deferred Credits Report

6.    Updating of Cash Monitoring

7.    Regular update on business plan materials

8.    Review of Business Plans

9.    Prepare board of directors’ monthly report

10. Updating of policies

11. Closing of GL and AP in NOAH

12. Monitoring of Un-Receipted Conversion Fees

13. Regular Cash Count

·      HOA

1. Audit HOA transactions.

2. Prepare payment voucher and check for suppliers

3. Review and monitor all HOA transactions

·      OTHER TASKS

1.    Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate superior.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

·      With a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy; Preferably, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) but not a must

·      With at least two (2) years’ experience in Accounting and/or Treasury

·      Advance computer skills, knowledge of accounting software applications

·      Proficient in written and oral communication skills; good human relations skills
