Golden Era Food Chain, Inc. (GEFCI) opened its first Dunkin’ Donuts outlet in Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro city last November 20, 1991.

Since its debut in the Golden City of friendship, 30 Dunkin’ Donuts outlets are now opened at different malls, passenger terminals, airport and universities where loyal customers for 23 years love the convenience of grabbing their favorite food and beverage items, whereever their busy schedules may take them.

Golden Era Food Chain, Inc. is setting its sight on putting up a franchise in every City in Northern Mindanao. An actual realization of this vision puts continuity in the momentum in building a conglomerate of Dunkin Donuts Shops to serve the demands of the market particularly in these areas.

As the brand continues to grow its presence in Northern Mindanao, Engr. Mark Gesalem added to its franchise chain the City of Iligan. It opened its first shop in 1996 under the Corporate Name, Oro Grande Food Chain, Inc. which is open 24 hours meant to serve its customers morning through night.Since then, there are 12 Dunkin Donuts stores positioned in Iligan City to address every consumer demand.

In November 1999, the territory of Butuan was added among its franchise chain and opened the first Dunkin Donut Shop in JC Aquino St.,Butuan City under the corporate name, Rio Grande Food Chain, Inc.Today, a total of eleven shops are operating to satisfy the valued customers of Butuan.

In turn, it is also building the management and operational infrastructure to establish the capacity to deliver the best quality products equaled with impeccable service at the least possible cost.

In the process of expansion, GEFCI embarks on continuous improvement programs through Organizational Development and Training to strengthen its management system’s efficiency and effectively in delivering results while at the same time creating the necessary pool of skills and expertise not only to increase productivity but also to empower employees.

In improving the management system and productivity, the company strives to translate these into lowering the cost of doing business that not only delivers value to the customers but also delivers satisfactory return for its investors.
