SOROK UNI FOUNDATION, INC. is ahumanitarian organization founded on May 7, 2002 that works for and with Filipino CuredLeprosy Patients in erasing the stigma against leprosy and in rehabilitation and resettlementof those cured of the disease.

Since Hansenites could hardly get jobs tosupport their families, the organizationinitiates, implements, and sustains developmentprojects such as Livelihood and Education.

Serving hansenites and reaching out tothem goes beyond monetary help.Persons Affected with Leprosy have losttheir families and sadly, self-respect.

We, at SUFI, make sure that eachmember is given enough attention andcare. We make them feel that they areloved and accepted. We try to give back not only their self-worthbut most especially their hope andfaith in God.

The foundation envisions acommunity of able andenabled people workingtogether and positivelycontributing to the progress oftheir host town. Livestockraising, poultry, vegetable,farming, cultivating fruit-bearingtrees, and many moreare the livelihood programsthere. Former patients and

volunteers work together tobuild houses where theirfamilies could stay, which theynow call home.
