- To facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.
- Develops and implements safety program to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions.
- Monitors and assess hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety.
- Prepare and ensure that the Site Safety and Health Plan are being implemented.
- Lead OSH Committee and conduct regular Toolbox/Safety Meetings and job safety analysis.
- Record Actions/Recommendations and provide status of completion Safety and health Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) at the workplace
- Include the organization and creation of disaster control groups, business continuity plan, and updating the hazard, risk, and vulnerability assessment (as required).
- Record and investigate all incidents and near misses and apply corrective actions through risk control measures (Elimination, Substitution, PPE, Engineering and Administrative Control.
- Establishes a safety training program for all employees
- Conducts safety orientation to newly hired employees and contractors personnel doing projects inside plant premises
- Maintains records on injury/accident frequency, costs, etc. and performs accident analysis.
- Frequently monitor and inspect any health or safety aspect of the operation being undertaken with the participation of employee or contractor.
- Issue work stoppage order (WSO) when necessary based on the requirement and procedures provided by the OHS standards and the Companys Safety Procedures and Guidelines.
- Provide functional support in connection to all Environment related issues and educate all project employees about the importance of adhering to the companys EHS management policies and procedures.
- Acts as the primary contact for any building issues (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, equipment, electronic controls, circuitry, lighting, plumbing and repairs)
- Participate in detailed incident investigation and root cause analysis & Promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors
- Must be willing to accept Project Employment
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, PRC license holder
- Atleast 3 years of experience as HSE and PCO
- Atleast 2 year relevant work experience
- With BOSH / COSH
- Knowledgeable on Government regulation and requirements related to Occupational Safety and Health
- Advantage if certified First Aide
- Comply with OSH and government regulatory agencies in relation to health and safety, including submitting of OSH administrative report to BWC/DOLE.
- Qualify as PCO (Category B)
