This role will report to our General Manager/Vice President and will have the following responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and opinions; conduct research in all legal fields of interest of the company and promptly respond to legal issues/concerns
- Ensure that all company transaction, operations, policies and procedures are valid, binding and enforceable under any court of law
- Review/draft contracts, memoranda, office orders, and other corporate documents including notarization of essential documents
- Provide necessary administrative & project support involving legal matters
- Monitor the dispute resolution process and to ensure compliance to labor and government laws and other applicable existing rules and regulations
- Establish, improve and uphold company policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Represent the company in courts, quasi-judicial, and administrative agencies including preparation, review, and/or filing of initiatory pleadings, motions, contracts, agreements and other corporate documentation.
- Coordinate and manage external counsel engagement including budgetary matters
- Handle internal employment matters including representation in the grievance committee and CBA negotiations
- Monitor new and proposed rules issued by key government agencies; represent the company in meetings with clients and stakeholders and public consultations for proposed laws and regulations and other meetings with industry stakeholders, regulators and policy makers.
Qualifications:
- Willing to relocate to Polomolok, South Cotabato
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree/Juris Doctor in Law. A member in good standing of the Bar of the Philippines
- Experience in an in-house role from a food manufacturing, multinational/global company is preferred
- A deep understanding of Philippine corporate, employment, land and agricultural laws
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and able to deliver and sort through conflicting priorities
- Practiced an analytical and pragmatic approach to solving complex issues
- Excellent managerial and negotiation skills
- Next-level time management and prioritization skills
- An independent self-starter, results-oriented, committed to quality work outcome
