Our company is currently seeking employees to fill the position as Project Environment and Social Safeguards Specialist. The average starting salary we can offer you is in the range of ₱16,000 - ₱38,000. If you have credibility beyond the minimum criteria we are looking for, the provisions regarding the average initial salary we offer may change according to our company HRD agreement.

ROLE PURPOSE
Builds and maintain s harmonious relationship with regulatory agencies and indigenous people’s (IPs) community to ensure timely acquisition of appropriate approvals and permits from stakeholders (LLDA, DENR, NCIP) required for all types of projects across project lifecycle. Develops and facilitates community engagement programs such as tree planting activities, seedling replacement, rituals for the IPS etc. Assesses the environmental and social compliance performance and adherence to permit conditions of the projects and advises improvement measures, compliance strategies and capacity building program for the project team.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Must be a graduate of a degree in Civil/ Chemical/ Sanitary/ Environmental engineering.
•Must be familiar with all current environmental and social regulations in the Philippines
•Accredited as a Pollution Control Officer by LLDA and/ or DENR
•Must know how to drive manual vehicle
•With good interpersonal and people management skill

Manila Water Company holds the exclusive right to provide water and used water services to the eastern side of Metro Manila (“Manila Concession” or “East Zone”) under a Concession Agreement (“CA”) entered into between the Company and Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (“MWSS”) in August 1997. The original term of the concession was for a period of 25 years to expire in 2022. The Company’s concession was extended by another 15 years by MWSS and the Philippine Government in 2009, thereby extending the term from May 2022 to May 2037.
The Company provides water treatment, water distribution, sewerage and sanitation services to more than six million people in the East Zone, comprising a broad range of residential, semi-business, commercial and industrial customers.
