JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Manage (plan, organize, direct, control) the activities of direct and indirect reports in order to optimize resources invested by the company
a. Accounting Supervisors (AP/ AR/ GL/ Inv)
b. Accounting Staff
c. Other Accounting Personnel (e.g. Bookkeepers, etc.)
2. Review and manages General and Subsidiary Ledgers entries
a. Accounts Payable (Expense Cycle)
b. Accounts Receivable (Sales Cycle)
c. Depreciation of Fix Assets
d. Inventory
e. Monthly Bank Reconciliation Reports
f. Journal Entries
g. Tax (e.g. Value-Added Tax, Income Tax, etc.)
h. Management of Chart of Accounts
3. Manage preparation of Financial Reports, both manual systems and in
SAP Business One
a. Summarizes and analyzes the organization’s financial position
i. Income Statements/ Profit & Loss,
ii. Balance Sheets,
ii. Aging Accounts,
iv. Cash Position
v. Supporting schedules.
b. Ensure that the financial records are accurate, correct & complete.
c. Ensure that every transaction is properly documented, accounted are
recorded.
d. Ensure that the books of accounts are compiled every end of the
month.
e. Ensure that the books of accounts are compiled every end of the
financial year.
f. Assist Bookkeepers in the Journal entries of unique business
transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP).
g. Check entries and supporting documents made by the bookkeepers.
h. Manages other management and business-specific reports (e.g. Sales
Reports)
4. Final audit of all company check disbursement vouchers as to accuracy
and completeness of attachments:
a. All expenses
b. All purchases
5. Initiates and implements strategies that will improve overall productivity,
effectiveness and efficiency of the operations
a. Accounting systems and methods
i. Procedures
ii. Policies
ii. Systems
6. Supports Budget and Forecasting activities
7. Review the rectification letter made by the accounting staffs to answer
their audit findings/verification
8. Perform other duties as the management may require.
